today is a gray day complete with lightning and thunder in the atl. even the crew from "flip this house" across the street packed up their sh*t at the crack of dawn and left the house. anway, it made me dig out my soundgarden cd's b/c i had a hankering to hear "black hole sun." a few years ago, i read an interview with anita baker where she said she loved that song b/c it sounded like "it came straight from the pits of hell." the video is also interesting.

after i got the invite from this group, i went over to the black rock coalition web site to see if it had been updated from, i guess a year ago, when it was just a blank page. and lo and behold, it is all revamped and sh*t with forums (albeit quite empty ones)...
there are a lot of bands and musicians on that page.
what are the established bands/musicians that you think are missing???
the most obvious omissions to me:
X-Ray Spex
Skunk Anansie
Eagle Eye Cherry
and the last show i went to where i was the only (obvious) person of color was at the earl in east atlanta village to see a band called midlake.
